Location is excellent for central lincoln and the brayford area. need good shoes to make it all the way up the steep hill! parking very well priced and easy access - beware the one way system in the car park is the wrong way round. all usual large hotel facilities available.
Convenient location amongst bars and restaurants, but not disturbed by the noise

The pictures of the bedrooms on the web site were nothing like the rooms themselves. i was disappointed overall as i had meant to stay at the royal oak before this particaulr trip.i would not return as it is at the moment. a little fawlty towers in appearance. a revamp of decor and room layout would do wonders.separate shower cubicle rather than a bath with shower wouldbe better.

I thought the hotel was friendly and very inviting. would recommend to friends and colleagues. when travelling on your own you need to feel safe and the hotel was warm and homely.
Very pleasant surroundings. rooms were very comfortable felt more like home than a hotel room which can often seem cold and univiting
