The hotel was perfectly located. the staff -especially valentina, was attentive and efficient. restaurant recommendations were alsp good. the room was attractive and comfortable and the bathroom was nicely tiled and immaculate. i would certainly recommend this fine hotel to anyone visiting my favorite city.... Hosts were very helpful, friendly and spoke good english. breakfast was adequate and served in homely atmosphere. location meant a 20 minute walk to the main attractions but was adjacent to a railway station. this was our first time in florence. main critism was that there was no iron available (general for italy?) laundry services very expensive.... Just what my wife and i wanted-quiet and about 20 minute walk from duomo. the staff was courteous and helpful and the breakfast was very good. also there are a number of trattoria/restaurants nearby. food was uniformly good. no complaints about bathroom-clean and plenty of light. all in all eminently suitable and we wiill stay at orcagna on our next trip to florence....
