We chose this hotel because it was listed as a 4 star hotel. we decided to have a special week-end, so thought we would pamper ourselves. it was a disappointment. there are 3 star hotels in galway that are twice as good as this one. there is nothing special about the hotel. it does not impart the good-feel factor we were looking for. it certainly is not of the standard of other 4 star hotels we have stayed at. however the maid was most pleasant & the girl at reception seemed... The hotel is due for a spring clean i think . i have stayed there mainly because of the price and location to my work. in the past there was a comprehensive tv package to compensate for the out of town location but this has recently been reduced to the basic chanels, wireless internet had just been introduced which is a help. the car park gets overcrounded with coaches and trucks and at times ive had find other parking. the staff are very good and wil try to accomadate your... Location is the only negative here: it is a little out of town & the bus service is limited. excellent breakfast room, superb staff, every facility. i traveeled with my wife who has special needs; the kindness & consideration of the staff were much appreciated....
