I enjoyed the facilities and the downstairs bar, felt very comfortable and welcoming. the hotel is a very nice place to relax after a hard days work on business away from home. i would certainly recomend it and visit again in future.

Overall experience was good. the staff were very nice, in particular at reception, and night-time reception gent on sat 7th july. residence bar closed very early. this was disappointing as the bar was full of people. this is an important factor when i choose a hotel.

The staff at reception were particularly helpful, arranging for us to check in early and also allowing us to leave our bags at reception even after we had checked out. this allowed us to have a nice stroll around town without having to lug our bags with us. the rooms were really clean and very comfortable.... Good service, comfortable room, well located, good food, central location, old world but not shabby and it has an excellent spa facility. staff efficient and polite rather than overly friendly.

It might be of use for someone less fit to be made aware of the gradient of the hill ! i suppose the address contains a hint, but it's a bit strenuous on foot, with luggage, from maccurtain street.
