The hotel is a little dated but in good order and well managed this is one of the better hotels in the area for under 40 pounds per night. the room i stayed in was twin on the extension i found it to be spacious and well equipped the beds were comfortable and the shower powerful and hot. my only complaint is that there was some plumbing noise when other guests used their taps etc but this is only because i like total peace and quite. all the hotels in the area concentrate on full english... Good location,central to everything. we went on a friday the bar thats attached to the hotel is really busy and noisy so don't expect to get an early night.the rooms are a bit old fashioned but ours had a new bathroom and was very clean. the breakfast was really good with plenty of choice all the staff we came across were very nice, friendly and polite

Travelled to southport to visit relatives and booked two rooms. one was an executive suite (charged at normal rates), which was a pleasant surprise. the facilities for eating and relaxing were excellent, and overall it was an enjoyable stay.
