On arrival i was really worried when we were given a room on floor 10 as i suffer from vertigo but after a very short while i was so entranced by the view that i forgot to be worried. the position is perfect as it is so close to the centre but so quiet and practically on the hoe. the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful, including the cleaning staff and the bar staff. the breakfast was excellent with brilliant views and the service was particularly good. The hotel was ideal for us as we were attending a concert at the pavillions just next door. it does look a little tired and dated in certain areas. the breakfast was poor. Booked blind so apprehensive but staff were always helpful attentive and friendly so need not have worried.especially accommodating with eve meal when we arrived later than expected.clean comfortable rooms.nothing flash but an enjoyable stay. Nothing to gripe about at all. we were revisiting the area i grew up in so i had lots of local knowledge even if some of the roads had moved!! the weather was unkind but who cares we weren't at work and that's all that mattered. this was the 3rd hotel in as many nights and undoubtably the best.
