When i booked the hotel i asked on the form for a room with a canal view, i rang to confirm this had been done and was told no it hadn't and that all the rooms were now allocated. however the receptionist did say she would do what she could. when we arrived they had changed the rooms and we did have a canal view. the reception staff were not over friendly however the bar and restaurant staff were very helpful and the food in both the bar and restaurant was very good.( Note : 17/20 - le 30/04/2008 - Activehotels )

There was a warm, friendly welcome and a comfortable, clean uncluttered environment. the accommodation was well decorated, fresh, spacious and clean. the owners/proprietors had paid attention to detail, e.g. fresh towels, refreshment facilities in the room, hair dryer, reading lights, a choice of breakfasts, good tableware. the gardens were neat and tidy and the hotel was in a good location, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside situated 15mins walk from... Our standard room was adequate, clean, quiet, and very cheap.

Lovely position . friendly staff. food good - dining room - great view. excellent breakfast. a unique place hope refurb goes well.
Everything was nicely laid out. good view of the river. warm and comfortable.

Good location
