The general experiance was excellent. the owners were very friendly and the food was very good. the room was all that could be expected for a b&b and the free wireless internet access was a bonus. my partner an myself would willingly stay there again.... I have stayed at the hillcrest many times over the past 20 years and with the new owners so very new there are changes being made and everything is in a transitional state. i did hope for a room without stairs,as my mobility is not very good just now,but there were 3 steps down to it and 3 steps up to the new bathroom. the only mirror was in the bathroom and there was no telephone. i'm not sure that this room had been used as a guest room previously. the owners were most friendly and... A generally pleasant stay in a nice part of lincoln. good parking facilities and helpful staff made the stay overall very relaxing. the only downside would be the slightly disappointing breakfast and the room was a little musty smelling on arrival.
