The receptionist was polite on our arrival and our stay most enjoyable .my partner was 40yrs old and i had booked the over night stay as a suprize and the hotel staff upgraded us from a standard room to one of the penthouse suites which was really nice and a lovely thought on thier behalf.my only critisism would be the cost of alcholic beverages which were extremely expensive.on the whole our stay at the hotel was most enjoyable and would love to visit again.

A very pleasant traditional style of hotel. the food in the restaurant was excellent and the service very good. the hotel is certainly not modern and while the tv with freeview channels in each room was a nice touch, a television with sports channels in the lounge/bar would be nice, especially for the solo traveller....
