In summary: friendly staff, reasonable prices, good food, excellent beer, good rooms. the new flying horse is only 20 minutes from the m20 and 35-40 minutes during the rush hour from the chunnel so is ideally placed to break a journey abroad. the one thing you need to know is that you are staying in very good quality rooms in a pub - three of these are in a stable block next to the car park which means that closing time will be accompanied by just audible 'goodbye'... Definitely would like to have known that i was expected to dress for dinner. hence i ended up in the brasserie, and hence my reduced level of satisfaction with my stay

What a find! this b&b exceeds expectations and is very good value for money. the recptionist was very friendly upon arrival and offered us advice about the local restaurants and transport immediately. the b&b was easy to find and close to ashford town centre (i walked there in 15/20 mintues) and yet the country views from our window were gorgeous. the room was spacious and very clean. all the furniture was brand new and the shower room was spotless (no bath though). ...
