When we checked out we drew attention to the fact that we had not been charged for a dinner. a new bill was given but there was no apology and no thanks for drawing attention to this at the check-out.the menu was o.k. but not remarkable. on only one of three nights was there a specials choice added. the staff exceptfor the above failure at check-out were pleasant.overall it was a pleasant stay but would probably try another hotel the next time.

We upgraded our room and on our arrival the room was small and we queried if this was an upgrade room. we were allocated another room which was to a good standard

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. nothing seemed too much for them. my daughter and her boyfriend had not stayed in a hotel before and were worried that they would feel uncomfortable as it might be too 'posh' for them. they loved it! and felt valued. the food was excellent

We enjoyed our lovely spacious bedroom although we needed to turn on the radiator on arrival. jock's bar was excellent with delicous food well presented and such friendly, efficient staff. equally breakfast was a good experience. we didn't use the lounge but it looked most comfortable and the selection of books drew our attention. we would have have liked to spend more time in the well stocked shop.
