The hotel was very hot, would've preferred to be more airy. it also took a long time to get served at the bar. there seemed little urgency or understanding of who was next in line. i waited for 15mins on the saturday evening with one bar attendant. the managers should have provided additional resource to cover the busy periods. i ended up leaving the hotel to find other bars.... A real find - quiet, restful, even the basic (executive) room was comfy with excellent bed and linens. superb power shower and spotless bathroom. very good entertainment system (at extra charge) with good choice of movies, music and other programming. internet access rather pricey however. although quiet - don't think many people were staying, the rooms were quiet - i heard nothing from outide which must be a first. breakfast (included) was fine, the continental... The most important part of any overnight stay is the bed & sleep, unfortunately both my partner & i did not sleep well at all & woke feeling like we'd been kicked in the necks. this seriously compromised the quality of our stay.
It was conviniently located, the breakfast service was lovley, very polite & well mannered staff.

A lovely relaxed weekend in a wonderful hotel. everything to a high standard. we would liked to have come on a better weather weekend so we could have seen the grounds to thier full potential but that cant be helped!!!!!!.
The accomodation was to a very high standard and it was nice to have a power shower for a change!!!!!! everything was clean and well presented. would definatley stay again.breakfast was excellent and value for money.... ( Note : 20/20 - le 16/04/2008 - Activehotels )
