A pleasant surprise.
The room, and particularly the bathroom, was outstanding for this type of small hotel, and put many far more expensive rooms to shame. the staff were pleasant and helpful. the breakfast was again far superior to that provided by more expensive hotels.

My husband and i were having a night away for our anniversary. we stayed at the angel at lavenham and were very pleased with the service we received. the accomodation was very clean and comfortable, the food at dinner was excellent and the staff were always helpful and made us feel very welcome. we could could not have asked for more.

Overall, i would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing break. the hotel has an indoor swimming pool which we had to ourselves and which was very clean and warm. service was impeccable. the only downside was the evening meal. i had roast pork, which was spoilt by far too much gravy. it would have been better to have the gravy served in a little jug. definitely a lovely hotel.
